Don't be excited. It's not a nudist club! It is very authentic Dontsuki Matsuri Festival held in February in Akadani Village, Niigata-ken, Japan. This festival has 700 years history, where all the male villagers of inauspicious age (respectively 14, 24, 41, 60 years old) gather at the small shrine to remove bad luck. They are all naked but a small robe surrounding ther lower half of the body. In this festival, roughly 50 people push each other by their butts inside the shrine's small, hundreds-year-old, wooden building. This is quite an exercise so their bodies heat up in a couple of minutes, then somebody throw big snow blocks at the ceiling so that snow flakes will hit them and help to cool down.

　I was amazed by this festival, since they maintain such a mystical tradition in the place just 3 hours away from ultra-modern Tokyo. Japan has a lot of things to be exlored. I would like to visit many places to discover Japan.
